Purchasing Manager

Harvey Norman is an established international retailer in Electronics, Computers, Furniture & Bedding with a prominent international presence in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, North Ireland, Slovenia, Croatia, Malaysia and Singapore. In support with our growing business needs, we are seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated team player to join us!

Key Responsibilities

  • Strong product knowledge of products in the retail industry.
  • Good understanding of Consumer Electronics business.
  • Planning and execution of store-wide promotions mechanics, which includes conceptualizing of marketing programs, implementation of retail customers’ demand generation programs and managing in-store merchandising standards.
  • Negotiation of trading terms and engagement with vendors and partners to achieve key objectives of product categories.
  • Gathering of market intelligence on products, industry trends, competitive development and sourcing of potential new product lines.
  • Strong process knowledge for sales-related scenarios and inventory management of product lines.

Requirements:

  • Diploma / Degree in Business / Marketing or an equivalent discipline.
  • Passion to work in retail industry, with experience in product management or buying role for
  • retailers, distributors or vendors preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills to persuade decision makers.
  • Strong business acumen with proven leadership ability; team player.
  • Track record of successful negotiation and relationship management skills.
