Could have been such a great product
I researched heavily before purchasing, this looked like it would be an excellent printer and given the price point I expected so much more.
So far quite disappointed that my 5 year old WF-3720 that cost $149 had a better display and can scan direct to email.
Seriously Epson, for the money this should have a far better display, and at the very least allow scan to email.
Instead I'm forced to Scan to "Cloud" which is slow and laggy to even show the list of destinations.
Also my old WF-3720 even let you select the scanning resolution but the ET-5150 can't even do that on the display, very frustrating product for the money.
So far the printing seems on par with the WF-3720 so I'm really just holding out to see that the low-cost per page makes up for an otherwise step down in features and usability of such a straightforward thing to get right in a multi-function printer & scanner.

Simple and Easy
Set up a breeze, simple instructions to get set up.
Wanted the USB connection for this printer that's why I chose this model. Did want auto double sided duplexing but other models were out of price range with this feature but am happy with all other features.

every think you need for the home office
I did a lot of research into which printer and the features that matched the WF-7520 i'm replacing, so I wanted as many of the features of the WF and a must have was double-sided printing, and be an Eco-tank printer .then the cost . so it is easy to set up ,the features on the printer and the control on the phone app are fantastic .printing is good so far and the only down side is it is a bit noise but not to noise. looking forward to using its full capabilities.

Great features, speed and economy
It was somewhat difficult to set up due to paper not being picked up for tests, but once completed and installed print quality and speed of print was impressive, and professional. it is smaller than my previous printer and very different to operate but once I was familiar with the features it was easy to use. I like the ink bottles to fill up and was impressed with the 2 bottles of black ink supplied. I have only used it twice so far but I am impressed.

Easy to use, compact and very economical ink usage
We are very pleased with our purchase and were pleasantly surprised to receive not just a full set of ink + an additional black bottle of ink.
The printer is very easy to set up. Portable devices such as laptops, phones etc are very easy to connect.. No apps required.
Updating the printer was super simple. Simply connect the printer to your home wifi. The printer detects the firmware update and the rest is history.
Highly recommend so far.

Smart design
Upgrading from a previous Epson cartridge printer. I like the way this printer is designed. Suits my work area as I can get paper out from the back and I like not having a tray sticking out at the front. Prints well and quickly and was fairly easy to set up. Easy to read the screen with the angle it is at. Air printing is great. Easy to fill the eco tanks and looking forward to not buying ink for quite a while.

Great little printer for home office
This is a great little printer for my home office. It prints smoothly and quickly with good maintenance features. I like the small footprint and the ability to see how much ink i have left quickly and easily. Replacement bottles are very affordable and the ink top up is quick and easy. Quality for my sort of documents (basic b&w and colour printing on different types of paper) is really good.

Good, but auto-duplex scanning would have made it great
My ageing Epson WorkForce printer from yesteryear has served us well, but a cartridge-based printer is expensive and not very environmentally friendly. We were extremely happy with the features (pigment ink, auto-duplex printing, auto-duplex scanning, scan to cloud, large paper input, etc), so it was disappointing that ink was getting harder and harder to source, and that it was so expensive.
I'd been considering the continuous print system printers for some time, but didn't really like the idea of having to hack an existing printer to achieve it. And we really liked the pigment inks due to their water resistance.
Forced to do something about our expensive ink situation, I looked into the EcoTank printers on offer. There's quite a range, but unfortunately not many have the auto-duplex scanning feature which is pretty sad. Yes they're much more expensive than cartridge-based alternatives, but considering the amount of bundled ink and the print volumes expected, it should mean we save a lot of money by not having to buy more ink for at least a couple of years if all goes well.
We settled on this model, even though it doesn't have auto-duplex scanning, as it seems to have everything else we're after. The RRP was much more than I'd have liked to spend, so the only thing that made this purchase possible for us was a sale happening at just the right time.
The next step to the model that has auto-duplex scanning would have meant double the RRP, which we absolutely cannot justify. It just means we will hang on to our old faithful WorkForce printer for auto-duplex scanning, which is a shame.
Unpacking and setup was pretty straight-forward, and there are simple videos you can watch if unsure. I'd never used a printer like this before, so did watch the videos about filling the ink tank -- which turns out to be a very simple process.
It's only day one, but so far so good -- I have unpacked the printer, set it up, and can print without a problem. The scan to email feature works effortlessly, and I've already been using scan to Google drive on our previous printer, which also works effortlessly.
I have to say the printer information made available on the Australian Epson web site is hard to find, and in some cases incomplete and inaccurate. I had to create my own spreadsheet with all the relevant information before we could properly consider everything we needed to before choosing a printer.
