I think the concept of this is great. I have used this mainly to freeze bulk meat it’s fantastic the only issue I have is why is it on a tilt? When I have larger portion of meat with bones I have to juggle to hold the bag up evenly while trying to vacuum seal at the same time so the bag can seal evenly. My next issue is when you go to vacuum seal it’s automatically on dry so if you forget to change it to wet it won’t vacuum as much as it would on wet. Other than that it’s great I find the meat defrost a lot faster. It comes with pre cut bags, ziplock bags and a full roll.

Very easy to use once you figure it out!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live alone and like to cook bulk meals for later in the week so this product is a great addition to my kitchen. It is compact, quick to use and a much needed solution to successfully and safely freezing surplus meat!
The food is sealed well and the bags contains a section for recording the contents and date of each package so you won't be wondering how long they have been stored. It also allows you to cut the bags to whatever size you require so you can seal some fruit for work or a leg of lamb without wasting excess packaging.
It did take me a couple of minutes to figure out how to work the machine but once I understood the process it was easy. The vacuum seal is a little noisy but only lasts a few seconds.
Overall I would recommend this product.

Versatile and Simple to Use.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Most of us have grown up using Sunbeam appliances in our homes and so when a brand we all trust is the name behind the FoodSaver Vacuum Sealing System, you know that it's likely to work just as it's meant to work.
The first thing you'll notice is that you'll need to take a little bit of time to get the FoodSaver set up. The good news is, it's not at all difficult and once you've followed the initial instructions, you'll love using it.
Whether you want to keep fresh ingredients fresh, or make sure that your leftovers last a little longer, the FoodSaver is a must have in your kitchen.
One of the features I love is the fact that as well as the convenience of the pre-made FoodSaver bags, you can create bags of any size using the Vacuum Sealer Rolls that fit inside the FoodSaver. That means that you don't have to waste a large bag for something small or split larger amounts between several bags. You can simply create your own bags for whatever you want to achieve.
Preparing ahead is much easier with FoodSaver. Instead of hoping that vegetables stay fresh long enough to last the week, I can prepare ahead of time by putting daily portions into separate sealed bags. Once sealed, I know they'll be fresh to use as the week rolls on.
Later this year I'll be taking part in a cycling event across Australia. I'm looking forward to being able to vacuum seal portion sized snacks, such as dried fruit and nut, knowing that they'll stay fresh for the whole trip.
Of course, FoodSaver isn't just about keeping food fresh longer. It can help you explore new ways of cooking such as sous vide. Sous vide is literally French for "under vacuum", which means FoodSaver is the perfect place to start when you want to cook tastier, tenderer meat.
When coupled with FoodSaver Preserve & Marinade Containers, FoodSaver becomes even more versatile, changing the way you prepare, cook and increase the fresh life of many of the foods you love.
I honestly had no idea that one appliance could do so much.

Changing the way I food prep
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a working mum with a young family and a child with multiple food allergies, organising what to cook each night can be a long processes. This often results in poor choices or the same uninspiring meals each week. We also tend to cook most things from scratch due to the number of food allergies we are dealing with. The Foodsaver has had a huge impact on how we go about preparing food, saving me a heap of time each week and cutting down on food wastage.
The Foodsaver is simple to use and surprisingly quick. I love the way you can cut and seal bags to any size, cutting down on plastic waste at the same time. The instructions are easy to follow and I have found a number of recipes, as well as tips and tricks on the Foodsaver website.
I was able to prep several meals for a camping weekend using the Foodsaver. This cut down on time cooking at camp, and because everything was vacuum sealed it took up much less room than normal. It also meant I could be sure there would be no cross contamination between foods in the esky.
The Foodsaver is quickly becoming my favorite appliance.

Fantastic product, Quality out of the bix
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great piece of kit with some great features. It feels solid and is pretty simple, so easy to keep clean. Set up was good, I really like the little cord hole thing at the back which will make storage easier. Loading the bag roll was also easy, no small parts that tend to break and make these things useless, just simple and straight forward.
When using it was quieter than I was imagining considering it is a vacuum pump, and you didn’t have to run the machine long to get the desired result. One draw back was the operation lever was a bit stiff to move to the operation mode, I got a little worried I was going to break it and had to read the manual again to make sure i hadn’t missed a release button or something.
The hand held accessory was also very easy to use and can see myself using this function as much as the bag rolls.
I will be using this mostly for home made jerky and vacuum sealing excess vege’s and fruit from the garden. So far I am very pleased with the results.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is worth every cent!!! Weather u are a person that buys in bulk or does food preparation. This is perfect. Marinating meats for a later date can't wait to use for that. For those who do buy in bulk and food prep this machine will help save space in fridge or freezer.
