December 9th 2023 marked the heart-warming conclusion of our “Adopt for Charity'' initiative at Harvey Norman, in collaboration with Children Wishing Well.

During our Harvey Norman 22nd Anniversary Sellabration Event held at our Millenia Walk Flagship Store from 11th - 13th November, customers graciously adopted home appliances at highly subsidised prices, such as Air Fryers, Rice Cookers and TVs.

Our dedicated Harvey Norman employees then personally delivered the adopted products to children at their homes. Witnessing the radiant smiles on the children's faces was truly heartening and created memories that would forever warm our hearts.

As we reflect on this initiative, it stands as testament to the extraordinary power of collective generosity, where seemingly simple acts metamorphosed into profound moments. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who played a role in making the entire "Adopt for Charity" initiative an unforgettable journey of spreading love.

Harvey Norman's recent CSR initiative with Singapore Council of Women's Organisation (SCWO) and their Star Shelter holds significant importance, especially for courageous Women and Children who have bravely survived the horrors of domestic violence. For over two decades, Star Shelter has helped more than 2,000 women and children rebuild their lives, through accommodation, clothing, food and therapy/educational programmes.

Recognizing the survivors' resilience and strength, Harvey Norman is committed to empowering them on their path to recovery. Through a heartfelt donation, Harvey Norman provided various essential items, which encompasses practical appliances such as vacuum cleaners, toaster ovens, air fryers and bluetooth speakers. It also consisted of comforting essentials like pillows, mattresses, protectors and bedsheets, creating a warm and nurturing environment for those seeking solace and healing at the shelter.

Harvey Norman's contribution goes beyond merely providing these survivors with support and resources; it also seeks to instil hope and restore a sense of normalcy to their lives for a brighter future. Harvey Norman hopes for this initiative to serve as a reminder that no one should suffer in silence, and emphasises the importance of addressing critical social issues collectively.
